In 2022, I was commissioned by WOVEN in Kirklees to create a film to be projected during a performance by the INTERWOVEN Ensemble at Dewsbury Minster. The music, written by Boff Whalley and performed by a diverse range of musicians from different genres, celebrates the rich heritage of North Kirklees shoddy and mungo industry and its connections to present day environmental issues in modern textile manufacture. The film, likewise, blends images from early 20th Century textile patternbooks, archive images, modern day industrial and artisan textile manufacture and landscape footage. The live performance took place on 6th May.
